Explore Loket Castle and the Famous Spa Town of Karlovy Vary
Let me take you to the majestic Loket Castle — a stunning medieval fortress known around the world for its appearance in James Bond’s Casino Royale. This massive castle, rising from a charming small town, once turned Loket into a kind of local Hollywood. We’ll explore both the fortress and its rich history during our private tour.
Next, we'll head to Karlovy Vary, the city of healing water springs. You’ll have the chance to taste up to 15 different mineral waters, each with unique temperature and chemical properties. If you wish, I’ll also introduce you to Becherovka, a world-famous Czech herbal liqueur loved by locals and visitors alike.
We can also visit the Moser Glass Museum, showcasing the legacy of one of Europe’s finest glassmakers.
For lunch, we’ll enjoy a meal at my favorite place — Restaurant Plzeňka, known for its excellent beer and local food selection.
After lunch, a funicular ride up to a scenic viewpoint will offer us a spectacular panorama over Karlovy Vary.
And before we leave, we’ll taste the famous Pupp cake at the historic Grandhotel Pupp, once a favorite stop for Hollywood’s cinema stars.

8:00 AM – Pick-up from your hotel in Prague
8:00 AM - 10:30 AM – Scenic drive from Prague to Loket
10:30 AM - 12:00 PM – Tour of Loket Castle and its medieval streets
12:00 PM - 12:30 PM – Short drive to Karlovy Vary
12:30 PM - 1:30 PM – Tasting of mineral springs and optional visit to Moser Glass Museum
1:30 PM - 2:30 PM – Lunch at Restaurant Plzeňka
2:30 PM - 3:30 PM – Funicular ride and scenic viewpoint walk
3:30 PM - 4:00 PM – Visit to Grandhotel Pupp and tasting the famous Pupp cake
4:00 PM - 6:30 PM – Return trip to Prague
6:30 PM – Drop-off at your hotel or another preferred location in Prague
🚗 Transportation
For your convenience, we provide different transportation options depending on your group size. All vehicles are comfortable, air-conditioned, and operated by professional drivers:
- Up to 3 travelers: Volkswagen Business Passat or a similar category car, offering comfort and style.
- 4 to 6 travelers: Spacious minivan, typically a Volkswagen Transporter, Ford Tourneo, or a similar category vehicle.
- Larger groups or business class transportation: Available on request — please inquire for a custom quote.

The tour lasts approximately 10 hours. Travel times may vary due to traffic, but we can adjust the schedule to fit your needs—starting earlier or later upon request.
