Did you know that Prague has been a major scientific hub since the 16th century? As the capital of the Holy Roman Empire, it attracted alchemists, visionaries, and great scientists—and continues to inspire them today.
This tour explores Prague’s deep scientific roots. We'll begin in the Old Town, where even the underground labs of 16th-century alchemists were hidden. Around the historic square, you’ll discover where Doppler, Bolzano, and Einstein lived. Along the way, we’ll encounter Kepler and Heřovský in the very streets they once walked.
You’ll also hear secrets of Charles University, the oldest in Prague.
Later, we’ll head to the modern district of Dejvice, home to the University of Chemistry and Technology (where I studied!) and the Czech Technical University. We’ll explore the impressive National Technical Library and uncover stories of Tesla, Prelog, and many others.
This is a truly unique tour, created from my passion for science and deep personal connection to these places.
