We will visit the Konopiste Castle, which has a modern 20th-century history relating to the family of Franz Ferdinand d'Este and WWI. We will see the castle gardens and take pictures.
Then we will move to the time of King Charles IV and visit the Karlstejn Castle, take a half-hour walk through the town of Karlstejn. The guided tour will reveal the king's secrets.
Our private tour will take us to Stara Myslivna for a local lunch and beer. Be prepared for a real medieval restaurant with huge plates, plenty of food, and attractive interiors! We will go back to the hotel with a lot of impressions and knowledge.
Itinerary
The best time to start the tour is 9 am (but note that the time is still flexible, we also should adjust according to the Castle availability)
- 9 am - hotel pick up.
- 9-10 am - trip from Prague to Konopiste.
- 10-11 am - group tour inside of the Castle.
- 11 am - 12 pm - lunch at the Stara Myslivna Restaurant.
- 12-1 pm - trip from Karlstejn to Konopiste.
- 1-1:30 pm - Walk up to the hill to the Castle**
- 2-3 pm - group tour of the Castle Karlstejn.
- 3-4 pm - Transport back from the Castle to Prague with drop off at your hotel or any other place indicated by you.
Cesky Krumlov and Blatna Castle
During this part of the tour, there will be a 30-minute walk up to the Karlstejn Castle. Because the Karlstejn town is very small and historical, only locals are allowed to get into the town with their cars. We have two options on how to get to the castle: by walk or by private Karlstejn transportation (to be booked in advance, 400 CZK/ride).
🚗 Transportation
For your convenience, we provide different transportation options depending on your group size:
- Up to 2 travelers – A Volkswagen Business Passat or a similar car from the same category, offering comfort and style.
- 3 to 6 travelers – A minivan with a professional driver, typically a Volkswagen Transporter, Ford Tourneo, or another car of the same category.
- Larger groups or business class transportation – Please inquire for a quote.

The tour lasts approximately 7 hours. Travel times may vary due to traffic, but we can adjust the schedule to fit your needs—starting earlier or later upon request.
